Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook & Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper Endorse Aaron Bean for Congress

Fernandina Beach, Fla. – Republican candidate for Congressional District 4 Aaron Bean today proudly announced that he has received the endorsements of sheriffs from Clay and Nassau Counties in his bid for Congress. Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook and Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper both have endorsed Aaron Bean, citing his unwavering commitment to the men and women in law enforcement and his pledge to back the blue in Washington.

“Aaron Bean will be a strong voice for law enforcement in Washington,” said Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook. “He has been a tested and trusted leader throughout his career, and l know we can count on him to fight for our values. Aaron proudly ‘backs the blue’ – and I’m thrilled to back him in his run for Congress.”

“There has never been a more critical time in Washington where we need leaders who will stand up for law enforcement and the rule of law,” said Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper. “The brave men and women who put on the uniform every day and put their lives at risk to save the lives of their neighbors deserve our unwavering respect, and I know Aaron Bean understands this. A career in law enforcement is a choice – a choice to serve the community – and no other candidate matches this same commitment to service as Aaron Bean does. I am proud to endorse him and back his candidacy for Congress.”

“I cannot express how honored I am to have the endorsements of Sheriff Cook and Sheriff Leeper,” said Bean. “Our men and women of law enforcement have had their integrity questioned and their profession disrespected, while they head toward the line of fire to protect our communities and families. I am proud to back the blue, and I will make sure that in Washington it will be heard loud and clear that Florida is grateful for our law enforcement officers and will always stand with them. I am proud to have Sheriffs Cook and Leeper in my corner, and I will always have their backs, as well as the backs of their brothers and sisters in blue.”

Bean currently represents the people of Nassau and Duval counties in the Florida Senate, serving in the Republican-led Senate as its Senate President Pro Tempore. Elected to the Senate in 2012 and to the Florida House before that, Bean has been a noted advocate for lowering taxes on hardworking Floridians and focusing on pro-business, pro-family initiatives and supporting the Florida freedom agenda and policies of Governor DeSantis. Bean has long served his local community, while raising a family and running a small business, with a focus on knowing what it means to work hard every day and on what his community needs.

In addition to serving in the Florida Senate, Aaron Bean has worked for UF Health Jacksonville for 13 years in development. Aaron and Abby Bean will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year and continue to watch their now-grown children build their own professional and personal lives.
